Breathe

Breathe my child, refuse to accept defeat Pull yourself up from, the waters that you’re under It may feel like the motions, are on cycles of repeat Figure it out; don’t let your mind set in wonder I know it feels like you can’t, just come up for air My child, my dear sweet child Breathe Breathe my child, when those memories arise The flashbacks of the terrors that are now the mares Mares of the night, the stolen voice and unheard cries If you are worrying, the feeling that your heart tears Dry your eyes and straighten up your face My child, my young, innocent child Breath Breathe my child, when they hurt you When they terrorize and attack your character Remember where you were before they came into Your life and made you feel less chipper But you are good enough; remember to be if not better My child, my sad, insecure child Breathe Breathe my child, when he raises his hand Remember you’ve endured worse, he is not stronger He is weak, just as they are and he is not a man He can’t make you stay any longer Stand up for yourself little soldier, it’s over My child, my scared, strong child Breathe Breathe my child, when you feel alone Feel the presence around you; it’s the ones you love Don’t be so obscure, make yourself known You are a human, not a super saiyan, you’re not above Don’t keep that weight, don’t make yourself desolate My child, my lonely, cryptic child Breathe Breathe my child, when you’re in pain Don’t let that anger surface itself again, put it away Decline yourself and your mind to do anything in vain Calm yourself, don’t walk just stay Keep your temperature below boiling and be happy you are here My child, my angry, bleeding child Breathe Breathe my child, for no one can see now Not one person can see who you are I want to know; I just don’t understand how You pushed them all away, making yourself distant and far They don’t know the truth behind you, it’s not written on your forehead My child, my mysterious, detached child Breathe Breathe my child, you are a new creature You are not what you used to be, or where You are something changed every crevice and feature Humble yourself and let down your pride, make yourself bare It’s okay to love again to trust again, just remember your lessons My child, my new, content child Breathe
