Breathe

I ran

I ran

I ran

I ran long

I ran till

The tightness in my chest
Which started off as a tickle
Became almost unbearable
Squeezing out every ounce of air in my lungs
Darkness starting to enclose me as the lack of air engulfed me
I ran
Till there was almost nothing left
Then I stopped...
In
Out
In
Out
In
Out
Colors returning
waves created by my ascending and descending chest under my shirt
Waves crashing on the shore
Once
Storm
Returning to calm sea
Breathing
It was then
And only then
That I realized
I didnt need you to survive
I Only need
to breathe...
