Breathe

Quick breath in.
Quick breath out.
Spinning quickly
in a merry-go-round.

Slow breath in.
Quick breath out.
Taking a break,
lost in a book.

Slow breath in.
Slow breath out.
I don't know where I'm going,
But I've come this far.

Quick breath in.
Quick breath out.
Running too far.
Running too fast.

No breath in.
No breath out.
Drowning in sorrow.
Drowning in doubt.

Slow breath in.
Scream falling out.
Music is breathing,
Breathing is music.
