Breathe
*this is a uncomfortable topic for lots of people, something that is sensitive for people who have experienced this. To all young women out there, don’t be fooled. The only person who knows your worth and beauty is you. If you don’t, then that’s something you yourself has to work on. Don’t let anyone convince you with their words. Actions are what matter. *
Breath in breath out.
They stare at you
Head to toe
But never think to look in your eyes
You know it’s not sincere
But your mind and body tell you otherwise
You feel like a somebody for once
Breath in breath out
They call you beautiful
You’ve noticed how much attention they’ve given to you
Doesn’t that count for something?
Breathe in breath out
They won’t stop showing interest in you
They say how beautiful you are
How much they like you
I mean at this point you think they are being genuine
They must see your worth.
Right?
You question how this even begun
You are just a girl walking the halls trying to get through the day
And one time
Out of no where
You are noticed.
Breath in breath out
Your phone won’t stop blowing up
Now they are showing their true plans for you
Start asking questions that make you feel pressured and confused
You convince yourself
It must be because they care.
Right?
How bout’ you take that shirt off for me
You’re too pretty to not take it all off for me
Show me what you got under those jeans
Don’t worry I won’t screenshot
Breath in breath out
You go for it
Why not?
They think your beautiful
They must care about you.
Right?
The next day more people are glancing at you
You had no idea why
Until you found out
That everyone was looking at you
On their phones
Of the picture
You took
Just that night
I guess he didn’t care about you like you thought he would
You feel used
As if you are an object
Breath in--
