Breathe

Way up there?

I can't go there

My heart will race

I will feel dazed

I feel safe

on the ground in place

Way up high

I could die

But, if I hold on tight

with all of my might

and move on up

to help me out of this rut

Just don't look down

so the world won't spin around

Just take deep breaths

and momentary rests

One step at a time

Continue the climb

And finally at the top

Just stop-

And breathe

My fear has been freed

On the ground or up above

I'm safe no matter what

If I just hold on

I may grow fond

of being off the ground

to see what's around

If I just breathe

and don't worry what's beneath

I will be okay

to see another day

The beauty around me

is actually astounding

Continue to climb-

And breathe.
