Breathe

Dry mouth, desperate thirst

Panic, well versed

Time slows: tick, tick, tick

Remember to breathe

Fragile flutter

Lub-dub lub-dub

Immense inhale

Lub-dub lub-dub

Chest contraction

Lub-dub lub-dub

Birthing breath

Light headed, stay awake

Paranoia, inevitable break

Worrying, shivering, fidgeting

Remember to breathe

Ear-piercing echo

Lubdublubdub

Heavy head

Lubdublubdub

Dizzy daze

Lubdublubdub

Distant dark

Palpitations, heart attack

Hysteria, mental crack

Sweating, clenching, shaking

Remember to breathe

I can’t breathe

LUBDUBLUBDUB
