I close my eyes and try to breathe

Sometimes it's very very hard to breathe

Sometimes it's impossible to breathe

I once sent a text to one of my friends

That I shouldn't have sent

I asked him

Why should I keep breathing when it's so difficult

He said

Because you already payed for you Netflix this month

So I kept breathing 

I asked him again a month later

He said

Because you need to feed your dog

So I kept breathing

I asked him again a week later

He said

Because you already made your lunch for tomorrow

So I kept breathing

I asked him again two weeks later

He said

Because you've made it this far

So I kept breathing

I asked him again three months later

He said

Because you're not a quitter

So I kept breathing

I asked him again two years later

He said

Because I love you

Then he called me and said

I'msorryIshouldn'thavesaidthatpleasedon'tfeelpressuredi'msorryi'msorryi'msorry

Then I finally said

I'm gonna keep breathing

Because I love you

So I kept breathing

And I haven't asked him since
