Breathing Underwater

Strength comes through many phases. Some people can't take the harsh realities of the world, but she can. To be hurt over and over again means one thing, but to be hurt and decide not to be the one who hurts others Is real strength. Those who say they love you but give up when it gets hard are not ones to keep around. She's not like that. She's strong but gentle. Kind but persistent. Loving someone when you feel like you can't love again is hard. But somehow my mom makes it look so easy. It's easy to be afraid, but it's harder to be strong. It's easy to swim it's harder to breathe underwater.
