breathing yellow-green

I finally got a break today. I'm sitting in the clear, grassy bowl. It's nice being able to breathe in rhythm with the brushes of the trees and have my strands of hair converse with the strands of tall grass. I'm fertilizing my mind in response to the blanket of sunshine. My body is overwhelmed with the warm, yellow kisses of the sun and the cold, gentle kisses of the flirtatious wind.

I picked up a non-crunchable leaf on the way over here. It bleeds shades of toast brown and moist green. The five fingers of the leaf are stretched out by the textured veins. It's still breathing. Just like me.

We lay in the thickness of the sun and the teasing wind
