The Brick City Blues

I am from a place where the color green brings grace

I am from a home where everybody is unknown so they have to survive on their own

Age ain't nothing but a number over here

It was always newborn or grown

Lil girl asked “Can you please tie my lace but instead she got shot in her face" And now We at The funeral Singing Amazing Grace, Another one of our innocent children displaced

Everyday outside everybody lies to their own tribe

Torturing more lives so more of us could die.

Its causes harm to my eyes.

Makes me wanna cry

But Why Should I Because All It Is.....Is......Is Life

Yall Laughing But Ain't Nothing Nice

Everything Comes With A Price

Either you Breaking The Ice Or Begging For Christ to Save Ya Life.

Because All That Laughter , All The Strife

It Won't Mean Nothing When You Trying To Make It Out Alive

Growing Up In The Hood, I Thought it Was Something Good ,But I Realized That Was Something That I Misunderstood

Once You Start Living On Ya Own Trying To Make A Name

You Start Seeing Where You At Ain't Gone Get You No Fame

You Start To Feel Ashamed But Because It Ain't No One To Blame

You Start Seeing Life As A 24/7 Game.

Sometimes We're Lucky Enough To Be Only Observing The Pain

Hoping We Don't Have To Go Through The Same Thing

Abortions Because They Baby Fathers Ignoring

Trying Not To Be Up In Them Stores Paying About 40 For Some Pampers And Lotions

But Then They Be Out Here Scoring On Things less Important

Prostitution, Strippin, The Freak Nasty People Do For They Chicken.

Popping, Twerking, Gripping, Sticking, And Licking. No Wonder When They Find A Man He Be Pimping. That's Why They Are All Referred To As gogo's Trickin. Together They Be Pimpin-Trick-Or-Treating.

But You Know, It All Starts Out When Most Girls Don't Have No Degree Or No Coins To Grip. So They Go To Red Light District, Where Sadly, Prostitution And Strippin, Is Their Only Option To Pick.

Working The Night Shift And Believe It Or Not That Red Light Could Turn Green, And Be Special, And Not Only For Seconds 1, 2 But Be There To Bless You.

Be A Lift Off The Ground Instead of Being Trapped In The Dog Pound. At First Looking Like A Clown Look at You Now , You Turned Ya Whole Life Around.

Rape, Oh My, It Just Has Virginities All Out Of Shape. Being Forced Into Intercourse Without Getting A "Yes Baby, Of Course", But You Know They Can't Wait To Ride You Like A Horse.

The Sad Part Is That Rape Happens All Over Newark.

In The Back Of A Porsche, In The Corner Store, Right In The Bathroom, Where You Groom. So Many More Places I Can Assume Where Ya V Ends Up Creamed, It Really Hurts To See This Painful Experience Lower One's self-esteem.

In This Experience People Have Survived, Cried , And Even Died.

But Don't You Ever Let Nobody Go And Steal Your Pride.

If You Do You'll Feel Shot And Never Be Able To Handle The Fact That You Got Spotted And Got.

Selling Drugs, Trappin, Trying To Be A Thug.

Bud , Pineapple Express, Cocaine, Purple Haze, Bongs, Lean , And Mary Jane. Got Errbody Fiesting, Going Insane. But Little Do They Know, The Weed Messing Up They Brain

No Home Training, Can't Believe They Never Heard Crack Is Whack, Stay In School. Pretty Sure They Did, They Must've Took Those Words As Cruel.

Drinkers Y'all Ain't Safe, I Hope Y'all Listening Too, It May Be People That Hit The Pipe, But I Know Alize, Ciroc, that José Cuervo and A Sip Of That Mascato, be Having Y'all Livers Messed Up On The Low. The Only Okay thing Is That Y'all Don't Have Heated Eyes That Show

Living The Drunkie Life, Smoking Up The Plants, All That Spice. You Must Love Cancer , Imma Just Tell You That Ain't Real Romance, Life Could Be Better , So Get Ya Life , Look at Yourself With A Better Glance , Because There Is Always Something to Enhance

Suicide, Murder, Oh Why Did You Have To Hurt Her. In Life Sometime, We Have A Feeling Of Death Running Through Our Mind. Sometimes We Need To Dine, But All We Crave Is The Cracking Spine Of A Dying Young Guy, And No Matter How Hard We Try To Stay High, At The End Of The Day Somebody Is Always Going To Die. Yes, We May Look Crazy. But Whoever Asked Life For The Pain And Lazy. It Makes Us Blind, But It Makes Me Ask

What Wrong With Me, Am I Such A Task? But Then I Forgot My Future Is Determined From My Past. Why Did I Cheat On Those Tests In Class?, What In Life Made Things So Hard To Grasp? Why Did I Sometimes Cross The Line? Why Did I Give My Mother A Reason To Whoop My Behind? Life Why Did You Knock Me Off My Grind? Couldn't You See I Was Messing Up So Fine?

I Never Thought You Would've Turned On Me..........On The inside I'm Crying,On The Outside I'm Lying, Got Me Here Sighing, While Everybody Else Is Successfully Trying Day And Night

And Its Sad That I'm Forced To Keep Fighting, But Please Somebody Tell Me When Can I Start Winning, Because At This Point I Wanna Be Able To Start Grinning.

Who Cares About Anybody That Was Menacing Because To Be Honest They wanna Be Me So Bad, Imma Just Let Them Start Twinning Because At The End Of The Day ,Imma Always Be Winning, And Guess What, this Is only Just The Beginning ,

So Therefore I Ain't Got Time To Keep Pretending And Defending My Character, But This Is How I'm Ending Because My words Were The Truth , I Got No Excuse,

But I Know, If Anybody Want To know About Any Of The Real Juice, The Real News, They Could Come Holla At Me, They'll Be Real Amused When I Tell Em About The Brick City Blues.
