Brick Walls

She's from another past

Bottle of wine since '63

Drowning in another glass

I hate when she visits me

She said, "I don't know and I don't care."

"My minds free and I'm not going anywhere."

"Somewhere down this lonely road"

"I lost my soul"

She wants the future I'm afraid of

The fantasies I'm struggling to live

I'm just her hollow shell

Of a girl not afraid to give

When I point out her flaws

She tries the excuse that everything has a cause

I can't accept the fallacy

She writes out for me

I don't know and I don't care

My mind is free but it's not going anywhere

Somewhere down this lonely road

Even when she visits me

I know I'm alone
