a bridge away

i often go

to a place of escape.

not far away from,

my worries and stress.

but relief is but

a bridge away.

into a world filled

of magic and bliss.

i often go to

my place of escape.

not far away from,

my worries and stress.

but relief is but

a bridge away.

lulling me from,

the real of my life.

one day I stopped

going to my special place.

because I was told,

magic doesn’t exist.

but relief is but

a sleep away.

taking me from,

the pain of my life.

one day I stopped

believing in my dreams.

because I was told,

they couldn’t be achieved.

i can’t find relief-

i can’t find a light-

i can’t find a purpose-

in this thing I call my life.
