A Bright Flame

A bright Flame in a world of Snowflakes

Surrounded by those who melt

At first, she tried to stay small and hide her warmth

Afraid to lose friends and family, that they would melt away

But soon, she realized that by staying small

She was only hurting herself

That those who mattered would stay by her side

No matter how bright and warm she bacame

As the little Flame stareted to grow

To Become bright and brighter

And the Snowflakes around her

Started to melt, to complain that she was too bright

That her being a Flame in a world of Snowflakes was wrong

That she needed to become a Snowflake

But, she didn't listen

She knew that a Flame needed to be bright

And as she grew, she met other Flames

She had never known that there were other Flames

The Snowflakes around her had been too thick and close to see them

Their light had been hidden

By the Snowflakes that had surrounded her

And as she came together with other Flames

They grew brighter together

And became a light for the world to see.
