brightness

i gaze up at the sun,

its bright and hot,

the sins i have made remind me of my past,

my past is a dark cruel place,

no light dare shead upon it,

my hatred then was powerful,

it now is lessened,

for my future is bright,

with marrige,

children,

love and life,

i can over come my darkness,

and go into the brightness with him by my side.
