BRING BACK BULLYING

“We should bring back bullying!” “Bullying is an important growth in childhood; it builds character for children.” Bring back bullying They said, We’ve failed as a society; Wanting to bring something back that causes thousands of children to kill themselves. “It builds character!” It builds hatred for your own self. It builds the urge to end it all. School is already beating us up physically and mentally Draining our energy, leaving us exhausted. The last thing any children, pre-teens, or teenagers need is a new insecurity or trauma. YOU haven't been bullied and it shows. So let me tell you how it feels; Imagine living in an abusive house, being yelled at and hit Over the tiniest of things; like spilling juice or water, Like crying when being yelled at. Or like getting an 70 or an 80 instead of a 90 or 100 on a test Then I have to go to school, surely it's the only safe spot. It was not. I got bullied by classmates and teachers in 3rd grade, I got bullied by classmates and teachers in 4th grade, I got bullied by classmates and teachers in 5th grade. I never told anyone, I was too scared. Too scared of my mom, Too scared of my grandma, My grandpa wouldn't do anything other than smoke, My uncle is too busy. My father? Where is he? My friend?... Well.. he’s somewhere far. He doesn't go to the same school as me; He’s an online friend! He’s my only friend.. My. Only. Friend. We met each other when we were in 4th or 5th grade! Throughout the friendship he tries to attempt Why? Bullying and losing some friends. I tried to stop him, but I couldn't bear the thought of… Of losing my ONLY friend. I still see the good in the world just because he’s in my life Without him? I would’ve seen the world with pure hatred. His first attempt; 2020 — Trying to get run over by a car; I was 11 years old and he was 10 years old I would spam text and call him to stop him. I would lose sleep just to see that text telling me he was ok Without me? His eyes would be closed for 6 years. His second attempt; 2021 — Trying to choke himself to death; I was 12 years old and he was 11 years old. I would spam text and call him to stop him. I would lose sleep just to see that text telling me he was ok Without me? His eyes would be closed for 5 years. His third attempt; late 2021 — He tried to hang himself; I was 12 years old and he was 11 years old. I would spam text and call him to stop him. I would lose sleep just to see that text telling me he was ok Without me? His eyes would be closed for 5 years. His fourth attempt; 2022 — He tried stabbing himself; I was 13 years old and he was 12 years old. I would spam text and call him to stop him. I would lose sleep just to see that text telling me he was ok Without me? His eyes would be closed for 4 years. His fifth and final attempt: 2023-2024 — He tried to overdose; I was 14-15 years old and he was 13-14 years old. I would spam text and call him to stop him. I would lose sleep just to see that text telling me he was ok Without me? His eyes would be closed for 3-2 years. I was 11-15 years old. He was 10-14 years old. He was doing things kids shouldn't do; trying to kill himself. I was doing something a kid shouldn't go through; trying to stop their only friend from killing themselves. I am now 17, one year away from being 18. One year away from being a legalized adult. And I'm still traumatized So no; Don't bring back bullying unless you want your child to be in a box six feet underground Or unless you want your child to be in an urn Because they attempted sucicide because of bullying. And no, it doesn't build character. You want to build character? Start off with your children; Teach your daughters to not bully other younger girls and boys — to stand up for someone being bullied. Teach your daughters to protect and fend for themselves; to have manners, self-worth, respect towards themselves, to other women, and men Not just the girls. The boys too. Teach your sons to not bully other younger boys and girls — To stand up for someone being bullied. Teach your sons to protect and fend for themselves; To have manners, self-worth, respect towards themselves, to other women, and men. Ladies and gentlemen? That's how. YOU build. Character. But sadly for people who say to bring back bullying? Just by the way you’re acting? Unfortunately your daughter or son IS THE BULLY. So congratulations! You’ve failed parenting; the blood of kids who have died from suicide? Are on your hands and your child’s hands. And as well to the ones involved.
