Bring me back ... satire
Luke 1:53
53 He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
Bring me back to La-la land
I am taking life to serious
Hang me by the toes for a while
for my world is upside down
Slap my face and take my hand
Until I get real furious
as I will so loose all my guile
in this hurtful loosing clown
Dressed for a part I cannot live
putting up an empty show
making people laugh a bit
to help folk forget their emptiness
Only children seem to give
as they only can and know
That only life’s best of it
is their faith in youthfulness
