Bringing out my sun

Waiting in the darkness I took a hit and a light flickered on Only for a moment And waiting in the darkness You studied Him and the way you were supposed to be The candle dripped Only for a moment With every hit, the light flickered on Dimmer, flicking out faster With every prayer, the candle burned lower Your soul breaking And you shattered the bulb Dipped me a candle And now, the sun shines brightly During the day, and at night We hold hands In front of the candle that burns forever Waiting through the darkness
