The Brink of Healing

But why do my wounds refuse to heal?

Filled with the pains of the past and agitated by the kisses of falsehood

My own tears have become like a salt in the wounds, igniting the perpetual sores.

Yet,  purifying that which is swollen and inflamed.

Hope is on the horizon. Where the sun and the distance meet.

Connecting the radiant rays of healing with the turbulent waves of a lesson's anguish.

Coming towards a mutual peace in which hope finds itself content, the linger of pain

reminds us of a trial well defeated and a night long past.
