Broken

My heart breaks as I watch you walk with her.

This isn't the way that things were supposed to turn out.

You were supposed to stay with Mom forever.

You promised that you would never leave.

You promised the drinking would end

and things would get better.

It's been years and nothing is better.

I don't know who I am anymore.

You've broken me down to nothing.

I've lost my best friend because you cheated with her mom.

Who am I? Who are you?

Things are so different.

I can't make sense of them.

Won't anyone help me find who I am again?

I'm much to broken to figure it out on my own.
