Broken

Broken glass on the floor

and a hole in the wall.

But where did he go?

Golden boy, golden one.

Purple bruises on her face,

streaked with pained ruddiness

Still she wonders all the same,

Where’s her precious baby doll?

Storms through the door,

Silver fury in his hand.

Seconds crumble to dust,

Gone her hourglass’s sand.
