The Broken

There is a girl broken with scars

The feelings you give her are sharp as a blade

Night after night she lies awake

And thinks about her heart you break

In her eyes you see love

In your eyes she finds enmity

You tell her you love her then push her off

You say your love comes at a cost

She promises the skin she'll win you back

But once again feels her heart start to crack

The tears she cries are hot as fire

The pain she feels is from the blade

Cutting open to leave a stain

The day you held her would  be the last

The time to leave came so fast

Now here is left a broken heart

The feelings you neglect tear her apart
