Broken

She sees the marks on her sister's thigh

Broken skin, Broken girl

Where was she when she made the first mark?

Making her own marks.

Broken skin, Broken girl

Not the typical marks, but they still can be seen.

Laughter but no sound, was she even laughing?

Skinny this, petite that.

Got to her head with no warning.

Saw the broken image in front of her but couldn't say a word.

It hurt more to say something

Broken skin, Broken girl

Silence is sometimes louder than people think

She looked up at her and cried

Broken skin, Broken girl
