Broken

I’m like a little broken pot,

picking up the pieces;

a critter caught within a web

and lost within its creases.

So like a silent, crushed dream,

forgotten in the sands of time;

lost within an endless desert

and dreading the climb.

Quiet now, oh shattered heart,

with tears so quite like mine;

Sleep now, oh perished hope,

and know I will be fine.
