Broken

Bombs soaring through the night sky

Explosions bursting along with the stars up high

Buildings and shops are burnt into ashes

Tears fall down everyone’s faces

While children look for food through trashes

Wives without husbands

Parents without children

Children without parents

Lost, alone, and confused.

What do you do,

When you have the ones you love ripped away from you?

What do you do when someone dies before your eyes?

Wouldn’t you be scarred for life?

Why, you ask yourself, why?

People are complaining about little things that don’t even matter,

Maybe that one little glass was meant to shatter

Do you cry about it or let it be?

Let it go, there are others fighting to be free.

Why do you complain? It’s a shame.

You’re here complaining,

While other people's lives are toyed with,

As if they’re in some puppetry game.

Look at you; you have a roof to live under, you have food to eat.

You have warmth and comfort,

Yet you still find a reason to complain?

That’s insane.

Look at them, they live in garbage.

As if they deserve to live in trash,

When their loved ones were ripped away from them

by a complete ass.

Look at you, you have clothes to wear, you have money to spend,

But you won’t even bother to spare a single nickel,

Just anything to send?

Look at them; they have a single piece of fabric wrapped around their bodies,

They are deprived,

They have nothing to hold on to,

You should be lucky you’re even alive.

Why, you ask yourself, why?

Why am I here, blessed with all that I own,

Yet people are suffering,

Wondering if someone out there can have something to loan?

People of different races, lost, hopeless.

People of all ages, lost, depressed.

People with nothing left,

Due to a fucking theft.

Who? Who is the thief?

You, me?

They point fingers at one another,

Forgetting they’re supposed to help each other.

Four letters, one word.

H, E, L, P.

Can’t you see?

They need your help, yet you sit here and complain.

It’s an absolute fucking shame.

I’m embarrassed to be living around people

Who don’t appreciate, just discriminate.

People who grumble and whine

When they know it’s pointless.

People who commit a crime,

Just for the hell of it.

While others steal food,

Just to live off of it

Just use your brain and think,

You don’t need a shrink

To realize you need to stop,

Stop all this unnecessary complaining.

Complaining about wanting something you don’t need,

While others just want to be freed.

Freed from the madness,

Consuming them, taking over their lives.

Can’t you hear their desperate little cries?

Watch as chaos ensues in every city,

They just want some empathy, not your fucking pity.

They want to be able to live again,

Not have their homelands be run by madmen.

You can try to stop this madness,

But when will it end?

You can try to cease the pain,

But their hearts are too broken to mend.
