Broken.

Tear streaked faces

Blood stained wrists

No one understands the meaning of this

Locked inside your own mind

Lost and looking finding no sign of life

A girl who once was but is now no more

Was found broken and bleeding dead on the floor

The funural was quick no one bothering to ask

What was the meaning why did she hide behind the mask

People come and people go no one will ever really know

The girl that they thought they knew

Well shes gone away she flew

She now resides with the angels in the sky

Fallen before just longing to return home

A broken soul now replaced with a new one

An infant she had left behind..

A mother, yet everyone was so blind

No one knowing the secret behind the mask

A girl so young and broken

Bearing something that no one could know

For he threatened to kill her if she told

A girl... Only 15 years old.

Unable to bear what was with in..

Seeing it as a monster yet she knew killing was a sin.

Staying around just long enough

When it was all done and over with she could bare no more

Taking out her razor

Her escape from this world.

The girl slid it ever so right across her wrist

Her soul and spirit gone before

Now her life as the blood pools on the floor

A girl so young a girl so broken..

Gone from this the secret left unspoken

No one will ever truely know

The pain behind her eyes that she never let show

A girl so young a girl so broken..

Among the angels she has spoken.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."
