Broken

Lets be honest

I promise I’m trying

But something’s not working

You think I’m constantly lying

I reached into my chest

And gave you my heart

You grabbed it and took it

A few days later you said

“I returned it

Because something like that

Just couldn’t be real”

Now, I sit here heartless and cold

And people wonder why I’m so broken
