Broken

The first kiss left my lips tingling and wanting more;

Our first date was magical

I remember when you first told me you loved me

The promises, I love you's and forever's

It was roses one day and a broken heart the next

How did things change so much since that first call...

How did we end up enemies instead of lovers

You gave up your soul and me without a thought

All the I love you's and I'm sorry's

Along with I forgive you's and I love you too's;

One million second chancs

One mistake too many

I must keep good on my word

I need to love myself

It's only hard because I let you be too much of me

And now you are gone and I am forced to leave

Not once but twice

The fight has gone out of me

Just as it went out of you a long time ago

People say you never know what you have till it's gone

The real question is did you
