Broken

No one says Life is easy,
No one says it'll always be fun,
You just have to brush off the dirt,
And pick yourself off the ground.

I am not broken,
Although there is pain.
Although there is sadness,
I will get over my obstacles,
And I will succeed in life.
I am not broken.

No one says you get to decide.
To have a better father in your life,
To keep the friends who turned their back on you,
Or even when you breakdown and cry.
Life doesn't let you decide.
It lets you do with what you have,
It gives you opportunities,
Some to benefit you now or later.

I am not broken,
Although I have these weights on my shoulders,
Although I might shed a thousand tears,
I will get up from when I fall,
And learn to smile again.
I am not broken.

No one says you have to run.
To hide from your feelings,
To bottle up everything inside,
Or when you feel there's no where else to go.
Life shouldn't make you runaway,
It should make you stand up,
Make you face your every obstacle,
And get over them with accomplishment.

I am not broken,
Although negativity can consume me,
Although I have the ability to give up,
I will always stay optimistic,
I will always keep my head up high.
I won't let anything bring me down.
I will rise and learn from my every experience.
I am not broken, nor will I ever be.
