Broken
Darkness closed in around me as i saw his face drift further away,
I hollered till my throat wouldn't utter another sound,
My heart cracked that day, but it never broke.
The darkness lingered over my shoulders,
Peoples whispers flowed effortlessly into my young ears,
They hated me, another crack surfaced, but I didn't break.
Darkness was soon to consume me,
His face appeared for a short while,
The darkness went away, and I wasn't broken.
He was ripped from me once more,
This time forever, my heart shattered.
Darkness consumed me.
I was now and forever broken.
