Broken

Tucked away, hidden.

Secluded in the darkness.

Wearing the silence like the skin that covers my body.

Hardened like an icy glacier.

I was the night.

I was broken.

Broken by the sun that cracks the horizon.

Broken like the silence from the rooster's crow.

Broken like the ice from the warmth of spring.

Broken like a cloud that covered the sun.

Now I am free.

Now I am strong.

Because I AM BROKEN!
