Broken

We are broken,

And shattered

And crushed

And tattered

We close our eyes

and hope

for something better

But we must cope

We are laughing

and smiling

and joking

but pretending

until the day

we can no more a

dull pain

a silent roar

we are crushed

but we could heal

instead we stay broken

choosing not to feel

I stand alone,

The world is so cold,

The sun kisses my frozen breath

And it glows dull like icy gold.
