Broken
Darkness
fell erasing away all of those happy moments
leaving behind nothing but sorrow
Pain
I felt pain deep inside of my soul
How could you leave
how could you
my tears fall streaming down my face
staining my skin.
My baby blue eyes
now empty and red
They aren’t the same eyes that you use look into.
I curl up into a ball in my bed
laying here wishing and wanting
screaming into the night
but no one hears me.
No one is there to come comfort me
to hold me close.
Only silence welcomes me now
Loneliness creeps in.
Did I do something wrong
did I push you away?
Why did you leave me this way
Yesterday our lives were a fairytale
Today it’s all upside down
I lay here dying inside
while you lay there with her by your side.
Is her flesh sweeter than mine?
Does she give you something I never could?
Darkness closes in more and more
with each tear that falls from my eyes.
I can feel the storm building up inside.
I will no longer hear the whispers in my ear
no longer hear I love you slide off your tongue.
The kisses you once placed on my skin
so soft and delicate
they are no more.
Your lips
your flesh
your touch
it all belongs to her now.
God this hurts so much.
I just want to scream at the top of my lungs.
I want to wake up from this nightmare
I want to wake up and see you laying by my side.
Why
why oh why can’t I hide
from all of this pain I am feeling inside.
Darkness consumes every inch of my soul
I am nothing more than an empty hull
because when you left so did I
I am no longer who I was inside.
I feel used
torn
broken
hurt.
You promised me forever
forever is supposed to last
instead you used me
used me like I was some piece of ass.
Was that what I was to you
just another fool
someone to believe your lies
someone who was nothing in your eyes.
Anger fills the night
rage flows in my veins
tears dry on my face.
Love no longer has a place
no place here in my life
my soul has turned as black as coal
my heart now as cold as the ice in your soul.
