Broken

I have noticed the slightest change of beat in the rhythm of your voice.

I can sense the thoughts race out of your mind

And into your heart

Turning you away from me.

I can feel the new variation of tone

Tuned in sync with your heart.

Words once filled with love

Have developed into nothing

And roll off your tongue,

Falling into the void

Of what we use to be.

Silence now fills a space

Between us

That did not use to exist.

The fall of you

Led to the downfall of me

Shattering us both.
