Broken

Cuts marking the wings and femur,

Concealed underneath an imaginary grin

Inside the consciousness of a dreamer

Being harmed as if committing an actual sin

Society ignorant of others heartache

Beauty changing into insensitivity

Constrained under intimidation, enduring to remain awake

Forced into this proclivity

Manifestation of misery neglected

Called attention seekers without understanding

Mercilessly subjected

Forcing oneself to stay standing

Life streaming out the slits

The ever existing proof covering the wrist
