Broken
Did the rip through my thoughts?
Or shred up my love?
Did they soil my life?
All the above.
I was taken
distraught
broken
forgot.
No one was left
not a whisper to hear.
Not a pulse to be felt
alone in my fear.
I deserved not
what was brought unto me.
My anguish, no purpose
brought them pure glee.
Through the dark halls of hell
I've walked and I've wandered.
All for the devil
he not I pondered.
The fruit I was given
paved my descent.
Lower and darker
radiating resent.
Now both he and I
stood by the other.
Equally twisted
blood shed brothers.
So lock me in chains
make me inferior.
My passion, my love
will rain as superior.
Your mind cannot fathom
your hearts' willful ray.
Devils rise forth
your reason to slay.
Flames pull your forward,
closer to the door.
Icicles shatter
over you no more.
I am not evil
ignorant
or empty.
But broken to pieces
a hearts-worth so heavy.
My sockets reap woe
two abysses not ending.
Pain,
grief,
and sorrow.
My fate now is pending.
Taps echo softly
through these chalked cement walls.
Driven insane
by these muted calls.
Calls for death
calls for blood.
Calls for tear-burning fires.
Days turn like pages
nights storm for liars.
My world has been crushed.
My self has been shattered.
This skin that I wear has been hopelessly tattered.
I scream in my head
as it bounces around.
As I'm swallowed in noise
all else hear no sound.
Nails scratch my face
my blood in my throat.
My gut in my feet
this life has been wrote.
I will kill, I will die.
I will scream, I will cry.
I will swallow my fears.
I will rip out my ears.
I will swim in my guts.
I'll be eaten by mutts.
I will bash my hard head.
I will make sure I'm dead.
But for what?
For this now, and this here
is drenched in pure fear.
So I'll sit
and I'll wait.
For nothing but fate.
Broken to pieces
that don't wish to hate.
Still through it all
There's much I don't know.
But one thing I've learned
blood comes and it goes.
