Broken

All of the pieces

are scattered on the floor

I clench my heart

you'd never leave me you swore

I thought we'd grow old together

have eachother forevermore

I'd wake up next to you

with the kids we adore

But I guess that wasn't enough, I wasn't enough

you didn't want me anymore

You were the keeper of my secrets

but now I'm only a stranger you ignore

I still wish we could go back

when my heart was full, back to before

They say it gets better over time

but everything reminds me of you and the tears pour

I AM BROKEN

TRYING TO GATHER THE PIECES

but I don't know if I can be a soldier in this war.
