Broken


I used to watch as the whole room fell in love with you.

Everyone you met became enraptured in your presence.

It was like seeing what the inside of a snowflake looked like.

Such a delicate thing that could shatter at any moment.

But right then, everything was peaceful, and nothing shattered.

What a show you put on for them.

Why couldn’t I have that piece of you too?

Maybe it was selfish of me to ask.

Yes. Selfish.

Those delicate moments I held so tenderly and close.

I always did have clumsy fingers.
