Broken and Shattered
I want to be called yours,
I want to call you mine,
I want to know you better,
I want to just be fine.
I've wanted you forever,
as long as I can remember,
from the soccer camp in second grade,
to this just passed December.
You were always the one,
I've always wanted you,
too bad you didn't always
want to want me too.
But I think about you always,
you never escape my mind,
it's just really too bad that I've always been declined.
I've never had a shot,
I've never had a chance,
realizing this you would think would help me advance.
To move on without you, to leave you far behind,
because it just so seems our stars will never align.
We will never be right, we were never a match,
I just wished you would help my poor heart reattach.
It's been broken, it's been shattered, in so many ways,
and it's all from wanting you for all of my days.
