Broken Beautiful

I think about you and I cry

I know I had to say goodbye

But I just keep on asking when

When will I get to see you again?

It's the hardest thing I've had to bear

Just know I do it because I care

I pray in earnest every day

That God will lead you in His way

I hate that I have caused you pain

I pray you'll praise Him in the rain

I often wish this never happened

Or that our time apart could just end

Then I’m reminded that pain brings growth

I ask that God with grow us both

With the joy of Jesus in my heart

All I do is my own part

I trust Him fully with all my days

He is the center of my gaze

Meus amicus you will always be

In the meantime, though, my Friend is He
