Broken is Beauty
There is something beautiful about being broken.
Flawless is, just that, flawless.
Of course flawless is beautiful, but it is constant.
That masterpiece will never change.
But that vase?
The one that was dropped and smashed and brought together again.
That is beauty.
Each crack shows a tale, each chip a voice.
You can stare at it for years and never find every single crack or fix it entirely.
Don't try to.
The cracks and chips are the battle scars of life.
Whether from war, or just a clumbsy human.
I am that vase.
My scars hidden by clothing.
I am still the pile of rubble.
But oh, when I am put back together?
I will be stunning.
My cracks will still show.
But the power behind them will mean so much more.
Because broken is just a beautiful.
