The Broken Black Man

Eyes of an angel that seems to burn my heart So small so gentle so sweet So lovely she the one thing that makes my life complete Her smile lights up the room Her skin seems to radiant and glows wherever she goes She is so beautiful If only she knew Just like sand through my coarse fingers Time spilled away from me She not as beautiful like before What could have possibly brought her sun to set? What pain could she possibly be feeling? She so young Her life has just begun Why does she act like it's about to end? I wish I could give her more I wish I could make her happy, and smile like before But how? What can I do? I'm not worthy of her love and affection I can't touch her soft and gentleness With my rough, untamed hands How can I give what I do not have? How can I show something I know not of? How can I do for her what no one has ever done for me? The only love I've ever knew is secretive and dark It's rough and hard I can not hurt her She doesn't deserve that in her life But what else is there to do? How can I help the broken when I have cracks myself? Maybe we can be broken together Nice and easy I tried my best not to inflict pain I feel good I wonder if she feel the same I love her so much I hope she can forgive me I never meant to leave my seed behind Now the scars forever remain Please forgive me my precious daughter For in the end I caused you more pain
