BROKEN BOTTLES IN THE SANDS OF TIME

See me here Stumbling down the street The rain's pouring down I'm staring at my feet My feet is but wet Due to my tears and not the rain They're salty and crimson stained from my agonizing pain I raise my bloodstained eyes To see the sickle shaped moon She replies me: Son, how is life's journey so far? I wanted to leave footprints On the sands of time But little did I know They were broken bottles in the sands of time I felt a sharp pain Each time I took a step I came crashing on the scraps by the roadside For my frail legs could not bear the pain I now realise That life itself is truly a bed of thorns And those who excel have nothing but a coat of iron
