The Broken Deal

There’s a thorn in my side, A part of me I can’t hide Try to understand that, please You’re a person that is good, This I understood, But the pain just won’t cease Maybe time will heal The broken deal That someone else has given me But as of right now, I just don’t see how, Only time will tell, and we’ll see Please make me smile, Just once in a while, Then maybe I can be happy once more And the me that you see Is nothing, really But everyone’s closing door On the outside you sneer, In the inside you cheer, At my misery I guess you don’t care, But don’t you dare, Say I care of only me
