Broken is fixed in a new world

I am a broken record.

I keep playing the same song over and over and over and over again.

Trying to get it right.

I am a broken record.

I take the shattered pieces of my comrades and glue them back together so that they may be broken too but not unplayable.

This world is deniable.

They will not have the satisfaction of turning them into newspaper headlines as long as I have a say.

Because I am a broken record

Yes I take words and play them in new orders creating something genuine

So I can say I love you in a way you’ve yet to hear.

I am a broken record,

I will tell you over and over and over and over again,

That I shatter the pieces of regular until it is unrecognizable.

I’d like to think my mind is a sizable enemy to have.

I’m sorry you’ve turned into a target you threatened those I love

I love

I love

I am hated

I am a broken record.

Everything timely about me is skewed by lines of poetry that was recorded over the terrible song.

And is repeated repeated repeated skipped on to the next line.

These words are already inked onto me

It's not something I can change

These words are erased from my skin.

I am a broken record.

Broken broken broken can be fixed,

My life is disposable and I know it.

Broken broken broken can be fixed,

And yet my song, my wicked song continues to play.
