broken glass

As a child our mother's tell us not to touch the glass when it breaks. The glass cuts us. It doesn't leave a scar. The broken glass looks beautiful to me Like diamonds. They sparkle and seem to beg to be touched. I pick them up and hold them tight never once wincing the blood starts to run but they look beautiful. Like you my darling they seem to look toxic but to me they're perfect just like you. The little glass bits sparkle in the sunlight it reminds me of the twinkle in your eyes. Having you near me cuts I see the blood but I don't wince, it just looks perfect to me .
