Broken Glasses

Her innocence is a broken glass

Impossible to repair

At dusk she wakes up to sounds like thunder and lighting

A sound she was forbidden

By dawn she wakes up to only a father

A father, liked is already a broken glass

His trust and faith shattered and so did hers

Being left with only her own reflection to remind her of who had left

Only her resemblance, shiny black hair, peachy plump lips, brown almond eyes

She couldn’t dare to look into the mirror

Feeling pain so often she got used to it

When the sun sets a stream of waterfall comes through her eyes

When the sun rise her lips compete with the sun

Forcing her smile to be as bright as it could be

Because she knows what darkness feels like

She’d never want anyone to feel what she has felt

because she knows that once you step into darkness it’s hard to find a way out

Therefore she tries to shine as many light in people’s lives as she could

Her broken life was never an excuse for her to be cruel

Spreading light and affection is her choice

Although she is a broke glass she doesn’t want anyone else to shatter like her.
