Broken Heart

The water in my ears

drowning out what you say

I ignored you for so long

now this is the price I pay

You told me what to do

but I never even listened

and now I regret that choice

as the tears on my cheek glisten

Logic is the right choice

of that I was so sure

I went through heartache and pain

just to realize my love was pure

You were always right but

my mind thought it was smart

so I ignored you and I'm sorry

my poor, lonely, broken heart
