broken heart

Strength is the heart which life keeps going

you can stab it, crush it, or even drown it without knowing

people come and go

but yet the my heart it still filled with woe

nothing heals the pain

of a lost lover that no longer remains

I sit looking at my wrists

a sudden urge I must resist

My eyes fixate on a knife

It's sharp edge would be precise

skin is soft like a peach

however i cannot reach

A text appears

now come the tears

lost lover returns

however their words still burn

strength would be to fight back

but there is a better attack

with a quick swipe

their number is no longer ripe

She kisses her bare wrists

as her heartache persists

She knows she must not give in

for loving him as become a sin

maybe one day she would heal this broken heart

or remain enslaved to it's pain
