Broken Hearted Girl
(poems go here)
I saw you checking me out on the first day of school
I watched as your eyes carefully examined my body
I listened to you say your full name
I heard your government name escape your lips
I went blind upon your beauty
I was attracted your smile
I lusted for your body
I experienced love at first sight
I wanted the official label
I went deaf when you said you had a girlfriend
I walked away when you talked about her
I ignored you when you spoke of forever with her
I shook my head when I saw you and her together
I was speechless when I saw your lips touch hers
I was angry when you called me out of my name
I witnessed you spitting on my image
I heard you run my name in the ground
I cried when you said you didn’t love me
I listened to the echo of your promises fade
They faded away along with the concept of you
I can hear the sirens now
My heart beat dropping rapidly
The machine prolonging its last beep
Pronounced dead I was
Responsible for my death, was my beloved
Deceased, from a broken heart.
