Broken hearts

the love between us
was a special thing
to me it was more
special than a diamond ring

my time with you
was wonderful
when we fell in love
my heart went from empty to full

you were my drug
my energy drink
you raised me up
when i would shrink

baby together we were
a bird, and we were the wings
i would rush to the door to
see you when the doorbell rings

i thought we were perfect
but i was wrong
at first when we started
our love was strong

but now we set apart
and leave the past
forgetting how when we kissed
a shadow of a heart would cast

but i know this now
my broken friend
no glue can fix this damage
and our love is dead

but you have a chance
to raise it up
bring it back to life
u can be the medicine in the cup

but my dear friend do
not loose hopefor
there is a chance
that he/she is on dope
